Rabbi Shaw, the Executive Director of Tribe stated that It has been a fantastic night and an ideal opportunity to engage with an age group that traditionally starts to drift away from being involved in synagogal life very soon after their own Bar Bat Mitzvah year.'
Jess aged 14 from Finchley Synagogue said, It was so much fun! It was really great to see people who weren't very religious joining in with the Israeli dancing and bensching. I think the event really could have had an impact on their Jewish lives.
Pinner United Synagogue won the competition and were presented with the Bar- Bat Bash Trophy 2003 by Rabbi Shaw.
