Jewish social ser vices directory
Last updated: 2003-11-17
The Board of Deputies is delighted to have produced the fourth edition of the Directory of Jewish Social Services. The Directory will be launched on Thursday by the Lord Chief Justice, The Right Honourable Lord Woolf, at the Board's offices.
The Board gladly took on the responsibility for the Directory after the Central Council for Jewish Social Services disbanded a few years ago. The Directory lists details of all Jewish Social Service agencies and organisations in both Greater London and the Regions, together with an index of the type of issues that they handle. There are also quick-reference appendices covering synagogues with bereavement and welfare support, housing associations and help-lines.
Board Director General Neville Nagler commented: "The Directory is intended as a resource for all who work in and with the Jewish social services. It also provides a guide for individuals who need to know where to seek help and support within the community. We are delighted to have been able to publish this new, completely revised edition for the Jewish community. It will be an invaluable tool for anyone with an interest in Jewish social services."
