Phyllis wins gold
In an Olympic year, Staines Synagogue was proud to to have a gold medalist in its shape of Ladies Guild chair, Phyllis Conway, who was one of the overall winners at the Volunteers are US awards held at St. John's Wood Synagogue last month.

Tribe goes to Israel
Two hundred British gap year students joined together for the first Tribe United Synagogue Shabbat in Israel last weekend. Rabbi Andrew Shaw, Executive Director of Tribe, organised the event with the support of Yavneh Olami. The participants came from a variety of gap year programmes.
