Newcastle is to host the 2007 Holocaust Memorial Day national event in 2007 with the theme The Dignity of Difference. Taking place on the 27th January, the 2007 event is the seventh year Holocaust Memorial Day has been marked in the UK.
A concert at Cardiff's Millennium Centre was the highlight for events to mark Holocaust Memorial Day. This year, is the 61st anniversary of the liberation of the death camp at Auschwitz and Cardiff took centre stage to remember all those murdered.
To mark Holocaust Memorial Day, Rabbi Tony Bayfield has been invited to lead an Act of Worship to be broadcast at 9.45am on BBC Radio 4, alongside Sister Margaret Shepherd. The broadcast will also pay tribute to the late Reform Rabbi Hugo Gryn.
